Manchester City vs. Watford 4/23/22 EPL Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

Manchester City is hosting Watford at Etihad Stadium in round 34 of the English Premier League. City is at the top of the table right now, but only by 2 points, and nothing is over just yet in the EPL. Watford will likely be one of the three teams getting relegated, and this season has been one huge disappointment for them.

After not winning any of their last 3 games, City was playing against Brighton earlier this week, and they have gotten a nice win. City was the home team in that match, and with 3 scored goals in the second half, City has won this game 3-0. In the Champions League semifinals, City will be facing Real Madrid, and they are already getting ready for that match. The good news for City is that the first leg is at home, which means they don’t need to travel. There are a few questionable players for City, but I think they will all play. Mahrez and De Bruyne have each scored 11 goals for City so far this season, while Jesus and Concelo have added 7 assists each. This is a bit of a look ahead for City, but they need a win to stay ahead of Liverpool.

Watford is leaking goals left and right, they have won only 1 of their last 8 games while losing their last 3 games in a row. During this streak, Watford has conceded 7 goals while scoring only 1 goal, and with them being 7 points away from safety, I just don’t see them staying in the league. City is now in 19th place with 22 points, only 30 scored goals, and 62 conceded goals. Dennis is the leading goalscorer for Watford with 10 goals, and he is pretty much their only bright spot this season. Kiko and Dennis have added 5 assists each. In order to stay in the league, Watford would need to win pretty much all of their games until the end, which is not happening. Watford is now in 19th place with 22 points, they are not looking good at all, and they will be getting relegated, and frankly, it might be better for them.

City will look to get the job done here fast, and I think they will. Watford is a weak team, and they don’t stand a chance here. I’m going with City and the goals in this one.
