Montenegro vs. Finland 9/26/22 Nations League Soccer Picks, Predictions, Odds

Montenegro and Finland face off on Monday in a League B Group 3 showdown at Podgorica City Stadium. When these two teams faced off on June 7th it was Finland that secured the 2-0 victory.

Montenegro comes into this game sitting in second place in the standings having picked up seven points. Their last game came on Friday against Bosnia and the offense couldn’t get on the board and that led to the 1-0 defeat. They only had two shots on goal and 45 percent of the possession, and in this game, they need to find a way to get the offense going here. Adam Marusic picked up a red card in his last game, and he won’t be available to go in this game. It’s unclear who will replace him, but it seems Sead Haksabanovic could be an option to move into the starting lineup.

On the other side of this matchup is Finland who sits in 3rd place in the standings having picked up five points. Finland’s last came against Romania, and the offense scored one goal on the way to the draw. Finland started off strong and in the 12th minute, it was Teemu Pukki that scored a goal. In the 52nd minute though, they gave up a goal and that led to them picking up only one point. They were out shot 6-2 and had only 47 percent of the possession. Rasmus Schuller had to leave the last game early with an injury, and it’s not expected that he’s going to be able to go in this game. There is also a good chance that Joel Pohjanpalo moves into the starting lineup in this game.

I expect Finland is going to really focus on their defense in this game, and this will be a game where neither team has a lot of scoring chances. There isn’t a strong play on either side of this game, but the game will be low scoring, and this is one of the best bets of the day. Back the under to cash.
