PSG vs. Benfica 10/11/22 UEFA Champions League Soccer Pick, Predictions, Odds

PSG and Benfica face off on Tuesday in a UEFA Champions League Group H game at Parc des Princes.

Paris Saint-Germain and Benfica faced off last Wednesday and the game ended in a 1-1 draw. It was Lionel Messia that opened up the scoring in the 22nd minute with a goal for PSG. The goal that was scored for Benfica happened in the 22nd minute, and it was an own goal. Benfica only had 35 percent of the possession, but they had six shots on target. PSG had 65 percent of the possession and seven shots on target. Whoever wins this game could be the team that ends up winning the group.

PSG comes into this game sitting in 1st place in the standings, having picked up seven points. Over the weekend, PSG faced off against Reims and that game ended in a 0-0 draw. Sergio Ramos did pick up a red card in that game, but that won’t affect his status for this game. PSG had 64 percent of the possession and three shots on target, but they couldn’t find the back of the net. Messi didn’t play in the last game because of a calf injury, and it doesn’t look like he’s going to go in this game. Ramos was sent off in the last game, but he should be back to start in this game. Without Messi and PSG needing goals, they are going to need other guys to step up.

Benfica comes into this game sitting tied for 1st place in the standings having picked up seven points. Benfica faced off against Rio Ave over the weekend, and they were able to secure the 4-2 victory. Goncarlo Ramos had a big game, scoring in the 13th minute and 46th minute to pace the team. They actually did fall behind in the 6th minute, but they bounced back in a big way to secure the 4-2 win. Lucas Verissimo and Felipe Morato are both dealing with injuries, and they won’t be able to go in this game. Benfica needs to try to get the offense going here first, and really put the pressure on the PSG defense. Goncalo Ramos is playing well coming into this game, and they are going to need a big game from here.

Not having Messi is a big loss for PSG, and they are going to struggle to score here in this game. I think Benfica is going to push the numbers forward, and they are going to find a way to get through the PSG backline. It might not be the prettiest game, but Benfica is going to find a way to get the three points on the road. Back Benfica on the money line.
