Tottenham currently sits in sixth place in the standings having picked up 15 points so far. ‘For the most part, the start of the season has been a big disappointment, and in their last game against West Ham they didn’t look good. Tottenham’s defense wasn’t terrible, but they gave up a goal in the 72nd minute, and that sealed the victory. In a midweek game in the EFL Cup, Tottenham faced off with Burnley, and they won that game 1-0. Tottenham has scored nine goals while the defense has given up 13 goals. Son Heung-Min has been the top player scoring four goals.
On the other side of this matchup is Manchester United who sit in 7th place having picked up 14 points. This a United side that is searching for some answers after their last two games. Two games ago they lost to Leicester City 4-2 and in the last game and Liverpool they lost 5-0. Paul Pogba did pick up a red card in that game and will miss this contest. Manchester United has scored 16 goals total while the defense has given up 15 goals total. Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood have been the top couple of players for Manchester United both scoring four goals.
Both of these squads have been big disappointments this season but I just don’t see how Manchester United’s defense magically gets better in this game. Tottenham will have the better scoring chances, and they will find a way to get it into the back of the net. Back Tottenham on the money line.
