VfL Bochum is hosting Bayern Munich at Vonovia Rhurstadion in round 22 of the German Bundesliga. Bochum has had some solid results lately, they have won some points, but they are still a weak team. Bayern is still at the top of the table, and I think they will stay there until the end of the season.
Bochum is now in 11th place, which is far away from the relegation zone, but they are not scoring enough goals. Bochum has scored only 20 goals so far this season, while they conceded 20 goals. The bad news for Bochum is the competition is strong at the bottom of the table this season, and they are only 3 points away from the relegation zone right now. Polter is the leading goalscorer for Bochum with 7 goals, and he should be ready for this game. Zoller, Blum, Lowen, and Riemann are all injured. Bochum is an average team in Bundesliga at best, but I think they will need to score a lot more goals to stay in the league for next season.
Bayern is now on a 3-game winning streak, and they have scored 11 goals during that streak. Defensively, tough days are ahead of Bayern because they will be without Neuer for the next 2 months. In the Champions League next week, Bayern is playing against Real Bull Salzburg, a solid team, but with the offense Bayern has, they should get through to the next stage. Bayern is the best offensive team in the league, in the world probably, and they have scored 68 goals in 21 games. The biggest problem for Bayern right now is they are missing Goretzka, Davies, and Musiala alongside Neuer, but they did get some players back. Lewandowski has scored 24 goals already this season, and even though he probably will not be playing the entire match here, he will be in the starting lineup. Gnabry has added 10 goals, while Muller has 7 goals and an impressive 17 assists. The next few Bundesliga games could be rough for Bayern because they are playing against Leverkusen and Eintracht, but with the offense they have, they don’t need to be scared of anyone.
Bochum hasn’t won any of their last 8 games against Bayern, and I don’t think they will start now. Bayern will come, they will play as much as they need to, they will win, and they will go to Austria to play against Salzburg.
