Roger Federer and Roberto Bautista Agut meet in the fourth round of the 2015 Wimbledon.
Roger Federer is coming off a four set match against Sam Groth, which went over just two hours. Federer has played 10 sets overall and four and a half hours of tennis. Federer is winning at least 79 percent of his first serve points and 63 percent of his second serve points. Federer has combined for 23 aces and 88 winners in his last two matches. Federer continues to hit his spots but is also doing a great job of finishing his points and not having to play a ton of tennis. The more Federer can rest, the better his chances of winning another grand slam. Federer has lost twice in the fourth round of a grand slam since 2013. Federer has never lost in the fourth round of the Wimbledon.

Roberto Bautista Agut is coming off a straight sets win over Nikoloz Basilashvili, which lasted an hour and a half. Bautista Agut has played 11 sets overall and five and a half hours of tennis. Bautista Agut is winning at least 69 percent of his first serve points and 56 percent of his second serve points. Bautista Agut has combined for eight aces and 59 winners in his last two matches. Bautista Agut is coming off a match in which he had just eight unforced errors, and he’s winning a solid percentage of points on his service game. The question is if Bautista Agut can get over the hump in a grand slam. Bautista Agut has never surpassed the fourth round of a grand slam. In fact, this will be Bautista Agut’s third time ever playing in the fourth round of a grand slam.
This will be the third time these two have played, and Federer has won both meetings. The most recent contest was at the 2014 Shanghai Masters, and Bautista Agut has yet to even win a set in either match. This will be the first time they’ve played on grass.
Until Federer has to really work in a match and is up against an experienced opponent, it’s tough to bet against him. I like Fed to win in straight sets.
