The Line: -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
Madison Keys and Kiki Bertens square off in the fourth round of the 2016 French Open.
Madison Keys is coming off a straight sets win over Monica Puig that took 22 games to decide. In the victory, Keys won 65 percent of her first serve points and 43 percent of her second serve points. Keys has yet to drop a set in this tournament and has now won 16 of her last 19 sets overall. Keys has racked up 55 winners in her last two matches and is getting at least 61 percent of her first serves in play. When Keys is hitting her spots and has control of her overwhelming power, she’s one of the tougher players in the tournament to beat. Keys hopes to reach her third career grand slam quarterfinal. This will be Keys’ first career fourth round appearance in the French Open.

Kiki Bertens is coming off a three set win over Daria Kasatkina that took 35 games to decide. In the victory, Bertens won 64 percent of her first serve points and 37 percent of her second serve points. Bertens played a third set that lasted 18 games, and she’s now had more than 35 unforced errors in two of her three matches. If Bertens plans to advance to the quarters, she has to clean up her game quite a bit. The good news is that Bertens is getting no less than 62 percent of her first serves in play. Bertens hopes to reach her first grand slam quarterfinal. This will be Bertens’ second career grand slam fourth round appearance and first since the 2014 French Open.
This will be the first time these two meet on the tennis court.
Bertens is very good on clay, as majority of her success has come on this court. However, Keys has been showing signs of turning the corner the past couple of years and is playing far better tennis at the moment when you date back to the Rome Masters.
I have to side with the American in this spot.
