Madison Keys and Barbora Strycova square off Sunday in the 2016 AEGON Classic Final.
Madison Keys is coming off a three set win over Carla Suarez Navarro that took 31 games to decide. Keys has needed six sets in her last two matches, but she’s showing fight and managed to come back down one set and to win a tiebreak in her last match. At 21, Keys is finally starting to play with some consistency and looks like the player we all thought she could be, as she has potential to be one of those next great Americans. Keys is also now a top-10 player for the first time in her young career. Keys is playing in her fourth career final, and she looks for her second title and first since the 2014 AEGON International. Keys has won 15 of her last 18 matches on grass.

Barbora Strycova is coming off a three set win over Coco Vandeweghe that took 27 games to decide. Strycova has lost just one set in her last four matches and also showed great fight after dropping the first set in her last match. Strycova has now won nine of her last 11 matches and seems to be gaining needed momentum before the Wimbledon, the only grand slam she’s ever had real success at. When Strycova is able to calm her nerves and use her athleticism, she’s shown she’s a tough out. Strycova is playing in her second final this season and looks for her second title and first since the 2011 Bell Challenge. Strycova has won 11 of her last 15 matches on grass.
These two have met three times in the past, and Keys has won two of those meetings. The most recent match was in this year's Rome Masters, a match Keys won in three sets. The other two matches took place in this year's Madrid Masters and the 2014 Wuhan Open. Keys won both matches this season.
Keys should be a nice sized favorite in this match, especially in her current form. Keys has really trimmed her unforced errors and is back to being the effective power striker who usually overwhelms her opponent. Strycova is going to have trouble keeping up in this one.
Keys wins her second career title.
