July 2016

The Line -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

Roger Federer and Steve Johnson square off in the fourth round of the 2016 Wimbledon.

Roger Federer is coming off a straight sets win over Daniel Evans that took an hour and a half. In the victory, Federer won 40 of 45 first serve points and racked up 29 winners and 15 unforced errors. Federer has yet to drop a set this tournament and is winning no less than 78 percent of his first serve points. Federer has also had no more than 18 unforced errors in a single match. So far, it looks like Federer has put those injury issues in the past. Federer hopes to make the quarterfinals of a grand slam for the fifth time since 2015. Federer has won eight of his last 10 matches on grass.

Roger Federer vs. Steve Johnson 2016 Wimbledon Pick, Odds, Prediction

Steve Johnson is coming off a four set win over Grigor Dimitrov that took nearly three hours. In the victory, Johnson won 72 of his 95 first set points and racked up 59 winners and 34 unforced errors. Johnson has won no less than 76 percent of his first serve points and has produced 93 winners in his last two matches. Johnson is hitting the ball extremely well and has a chance at an upset if he can keep his unforced errors total under 30. This will be Johnson’s first grand slam appearance in the fourth round. Johnson has won eight straight matches on grass.

This will be the first time these two meet on the tennis court.

The door is open for Federer to win another grand slam title now that Djokovic has been eliminated. And while Johnson is playing well, he has just one victory over a top-10 player.

Give me Federer in straight sets.
