TV: ESPN

John Isner and Ryan Harrison meet in the final of the 2017 Atlanta Open.

John Isner is coming off a straight sets win over Gilles Muller that took 18 games to decide. In the victory, Isner won 80 percent of his first serve points and 86 percent of his second serve points. Isner is easily playing his best tennis of the season right now and hasn’t been broken once in his last seven matches. Isner is coming off a match in which he dropped just nine service games overall and won an impressive 44 percent of his return points. When Isner is returning at an above-average level while getting easy points with his elite serve, he’s nearly impossible to beat. Isner hopes to win his second title of the season and his 12th title in his career. Isner is 7-10 in final appearances on hard court. Isner has won six of his last nine matches on hard court.

John Isner vs. Ryan Harrison 2017 Atlanta Open Final Pick, Odds, Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

Ryan Harrison is coming off a three sets win over Kyle Edmund that took 32 games to decide. In the victory, Harrison won 84 percent of his first serve points and 53 percent of his second serve points. Harrison has played eight sets to get to this point and is coming off a match in which he won 73 percent of his service points. Harrison has played his best tennis by far this season on hard court and has a chance in this match as long as he continues to serve well. Harrison hopes to win his second career title and first since this years Memphis Open. Harrison is 1-0 in final appearances on hard court. Harrison has split his last eight matches on hard court.

These two have played seven times and Isner has won five of those meetings. The most recent match was in the 2016 Canadian Masters, a match Harrison won in three sets. Harrison is 2-1 against Isner on hard court.

Both of these guys are playing great tennis right now and they’ll both have a nice crowd behind them. And while Harrison has had the upper-hand over Isner in past meetings, it’s Isner who is the better player overall and is in better form. When Isner is returning as well as he had recently, he’s a handful. I’m not sure Harrison can put together a complete match needed to trip up Isner here.

Give me Isner in a victory.
