David Goffin (8/15) Andrey Rublev (9/5) See the Latest Odds

The US Open has reached the round of 16 which means that the players are now getting to the business end of the tournament. This time around we will see Belgian tennis player David Goffin take on Russian teenager, Andrey Rublev. Neither player would have been expected to make it this far in the tournament so as a result, we can expect a really exciting game between two exciting players.

Andrey Rublev will be feeling confident having only lost one set in the entire competition so far. This teenager is a really exciting prospect and he will look to make a big impact in this competition. This is by far his hardest test as he will be up against a player that is seeded in the top 10.

David Goffin vs Aundey Rublev 4th Sep 2017: US Open Preview and Predictions

David Goffin, on the other hand, will be feeling fresh after only playing two sets in his previous game because Monfils retired. The Belgian is also a very young player but he has had much more experience on the world stage so that will be a big advantage to him. I think David Goffin will back himself to win this game because he is the better player on paper and he will know this.

As far as betting is concerned, I think we are getting a pretty good price on David Goffin getting the win. The Belgian is the more experienced player and at this stage of the tournament, that will count for a lot. In addition to that, David Goffin is coming off a really easy win via retirement in his last game so he will be a lot fresher which will also count. As far as sets are concerned, I think Rublev is a great player and he will push Goffin so I am going for the over 3.5 sets.
