Round of 16

Juan Martin Del Potro (11/13) Dominic Thiem (15/13) See the Latest Odds

The US Open will be treated to Argentine superstar, Juan Martin Del Potro as he takes on Austrian tennis player, Dominic Thiem. This will be a round of 16 games so a place in the quarter final is up for grabs for the winner. As a result, I am expecting a hard fought contest.

Dominic Thiem has had a really good tournament having only lost one set in the entire event. That being said, this will be his hardest test since Del Potro is an entirely different kind of player. Thiem has not really had much success on the grand slam stage so far in his career and he will hope to change that and a win here will be a great start.

Juan Martin Del Potro vs Dominic Thiem 4th Sep 2017: US Open Preview and Predictions

Juan Martin Del Potro, on the other hand, is a player that has been on this stage many times before. This is a player that won this tournament in 2009 and he will hope to repeat that feat again this year. Del Potro has not lost a set yet in this tournament and he will be feeling really good as he heads into this game. This is one of the easiest draws in the competition as Dominic Thiem is a player that is nowhere near Del Potro’s quality so I think we can expect the Argentine to get a win here.

All in all, we are not getting a great price to bet on this game since Juan Martin Del Potro’s price is way too low. That being said, there is still a ton of value in betting on this game. Del Potro is yet to lose a set in this tournament and I don’t think he will lose one in this game. We are getting a good price on him to win in straight sets so I think that is a bet that is worth making.
