Stan Wawrinka had a big win on opening day of Wimbledon as the Swiss superstar came from one set down to beat number 6 seed, Grigor Dimitrov. In the second round, Wawrinka will be facing Italian qualifier Thomas Fabbiano. This should be an exciting game of tennis between two very exciting tennis players.
Thomas Fabbiano has never made it to the second round of Wimbledon before so just reaching this game is a huge accomplishment for the Italian. The qualifier looked good in his opening round match where he came from a set down to win in 4 sets. That showed the fighting spirit of the Italian. This game will be an entirely new experience for Thomas Fabbiano since he will have rarely faced a player at Stan Wawrinka’s level. It will be interesting to see how he handles the big occasion.

On the other side of the coin, Stan Wawrinka will see this as an easier game. The Swiss player was very unlucky to draw Grigor Dimitrov in his opening game but that victory proved that he is back at full form. Stan Wawrinka had to fight very hard to win his opening round match and it was good to see that kind of fighting spirit from the Swiss player. Wawrinka won 2 of his 3 sets by tiebreaker and that also showed that he is good under pressure. Wawrinka is one of the top players in world tennis and as good as Thomas Fabbiano has looked, I don’t see the Swiss superstar losing this clash.
As far as betting is concerned for this match, I am not a fan of betting on Stan Wawrinka to win. While the Swiss player never loses to Thomas Fabbiano, we are just not getting a good enough price to bother wagering. That being said, there are still good bets for this match. The best bet is the under 3.5 sets. Following a tough opening round game, Stan Wawrinka will look to end this match quickly which means we should see him win in straight sets.
