Venus Williams continues her good run in the 2018 Wimbledon as she has made it to the third round of women’s singles event. She will be taking on Kiki Bertens from the Netherlands in the third round. This is a match between two very good tennis players so we should be well entertained watching.
While Venus Williams has won both her matches and reached the third round, she has not looked at her best. The American has dropped sets in both her matches and at times has looked like she was going to lose. This is not a good sign for the former world number 1. The positive for Venus Williams is that she has won the big moments which shows that she is still capable of being a top player. Kiki Bertens will be a much bigger test for Venus Williams and if the American can not improve there might be trouble.

Kiki Bertens, on the other hand, has looked very good in her opening two games. The Dutch superstar has won both of her games in straight sets and is looking like a very dominant player. At the age of 26, Kiki Bertens is 12 years younger than Venus Williams and that can be seen in the respective performances with the Dutch player looking far more energetic than the American. This could be a big factor in this game since Venus Williams won’t be able to simple control the match through her stokes.
While this should be a close game, I am going to side with Kiki Bertens winning. The Dutch superstar is looking very strong while Venus Williams is looking like her legs have gone. I expect Venus Williams to trouble Bertens with powerful strokes but that won’t be enough for the former world number 1.
As far as betting is concerned, we are getting a great price to wager on Kiki Bertens to win so that seems like the best bet. In addition to that, I like the over 2.5 sets bet since I see both players winning a set.
