John Isner and Stefanos Tsitsipas meet in the fourth round of the 2018 tennis Wimbledon.

John Isner is coming off a straight sets win over Radu Albot that took 28 games to decide. In the victory, Isner won 83 percent of his first serve points and 54 percent of his second serve points. Isner hit 21 aces and won 78 percent of his total service points. Isner continues to serve at a high level like he usually does in his victories, but it’s the lack of tennis he’s played to get to this point that makes him so dangerous. Isner has played just 11 sets in his last three matches, which gives him plenty of gas in his tank to make an even deeper run. When Isner has fresh legs and is rested, he’s a handful for anybody in the draw. Isner should look good in this match. Isner has a chance to make his second career grand slam quarterfinal and first since the 2011 US Open. Isner has won seven straight matches on grass court.

Susan Mullane-USA TODAY Sports

Stefanos Tsitsipas is coming off a straight sets win over Thomas Fabbiano that took 25 games to decide. In the victory, Tsitsipas won 73 percent of his first serve points and 46 percent of his second serve points. Tsitsipas had just 16 unforced errors and won eight of his 12 break points. Tsitsipas does not look like a 19-year-old with little ATP success, as he’s beaten some solid opponents in this tournament and seems to get better each time he takes the court. The only question is when nerves eventually come into play, as Tsitsipas is still very green in terms of experience. Tsitsipas hopes to make his first career grand slam quarterfinal. Tsitsipas has won six of his last eight matches on grass court.

These two have played once, which was in the 2017 Shanghai Masters, a match Isner won in straight sets. The match took 26 games to be decided.

Isner usually bullies younger or lesser experienced players with his serve, and this match should be no different. Tsitsipas hasn’t played enough against top tier competition and hasn’t seen the power serve that Isner unleashes.

Isner will have his way in this match and advance to his second ever grand slam quarterfinal.
