Danielle Rose Collins vs Victoria Azarenka
The Line: -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
We have reached the quarterfinals of the WTA Stanford Classic in San Jose. At this stage of the tournament we will see former world number 1, Victoria Azarenka, take on American player, Danielle Rose Collins. Both players will want to win this match since the title is only three matches away. This should ensure we get a great tennis match.
Victoria Azarenka was fortunate that Garbiñe Muguruza withdrew from the tournament meaning that the former world number 1 got a much easier match which she won very convincingly. It is hard to see the 2-times grand slam winner return to the level which she once was at but there have been glimpses of her class over the past few months. The US Open will be a big tournament for Victoria Azarenka as she will look to do well in a big tournament and making deep runs in preparation is a good idea. I am expecting that Belarusian superstar to be the better player in this match since there should be a gap in skill and experience.

As far as her opponent is concerned, getting this far is an accomplishment. Danielle Rose Collins is not on the level of Victoria Azarenka and although the American has been on the WTA stage for a while, she has not made any big achievements to establish her place. This will be a big chance for Danielle Rose Collins to beat one of the great female tennis players but it will be hard since she is not as skilled or experienced as her superstar opponent.
All in all, I think that Victoria Azarenka will win. The former world number 1 is still a very good player and I think she will breeze past Danielle Rose Collins. Expect this to be a quick game since I don’t see Danielle Rose Collins winning a set.
