Karen Khachanov vs. Novak Djokovic - 2020 Dubai Open Quarter-Final

TV: ESPN (US); Amazon Prime (UK)

No.1 seed, Novak Djokovic, meets Karen Khachanov in the quarterfinals of the 2020 Dubai Open. Will Djokovic continue his incredible run of wins in 2020 or will Khachanov get the better of him for the second time?

Novak Djokovic has been absolutely incredible in Dubai, but also in 2020 in general. Djokovic is yet to lose a match in 2020 and he has absolutely cruised through his first two matches in Dubai. Djokovic is the best returner in the game and he keeps on showing us that he is able to move opponents around the court like no other player. Djokovic wants to win here in Dubai to increase his ranking points and make sure he is going to be world No.1 at the end of the year.

Karen Khachanov has been very solid here in Dubai. Khachanov loves the conditions in Dubai and he trains here all the time during his free time. Khachanov is one of the better young players, he is strong, he has a big serve, and he has the passion. However, what scares me of Khachanov's game is his ability to control the ball. Khachanov tends to overplay in pressure moments, and he needs to understand that it is better to just put the ball on the other side of the court instead of gifting cheap points to opponents. However, Khachanov is starting to improve that and he has a lot of potential to grow.

This will be the fourth meeting between both players, with Novak Djokovic leading the H2H 2-1. Khachanov famously beat Djokovic in the Paris Masters Final in 2018 and Djokovic got his revenge in the Davis Cup a few months ago. Djokovic is the better player and he has much improved his game as he always does. Expect Djokovic to dominate.

Novak Djokovic to win.
