Viktor Troicki vs. Novak Djokovic - 2020 Adria Tour
Saturday, June 13 2020
The 2020 ATP Cup Doubles Partners come head to head in their first match on the first weekend of the 2020 Adria Tour. Will Viktor Troicki have learned any of Djokovic's weaknesses (if he has any), and will he be able to take advantage?
Viktor Troicki has not really been seen or heard of much on the ATP Tour in recent years, however, earlier this year he came back as one of the main faces of Team Serbia in the 2020 ATP Cup. Troicki was amazing in the doubles and his victory in doubles against Spain (with his fellow Serbian Novak Djokovic) allowed them to win the tournament. Troicki has a lot of experience and knows how to win against good players, will he be able to do it against a close friend and world No.1 Novak Djokovic?
Novak Djokovic is just the best player in the world at the moment. Djokovic's consistency, his ability to maintain composure in tough matches, and his ability to return every single ball thrown at him, is why he is world No.1 and won the Australian Open this year. Djokovic will only be happier now that he has heard Federer will be out for the rest of 2020 as it means he has more opportunities to win big tournaments.
This will be the 15th meeting between both players, and unsurprisingly, the head to head between these two is fairly one-sided. Djokovic leads the H2H 13-1, with Troicki's only victory coming in 2007 when Djokovic was nowhere close to his level nowadays. Djokovic will make easy work of this and focus on getting to the final on Sunday.
Novak Djokovic to win in Straight Sets.
