Viktor Troicki vs. Filip Krajinovic - 2020 Adria Tour
Sunday, June 14 2020
Filip Krajinovic comes off an incredible upset over world No.1, Novak Djokovic, as he prepares for Day 2 of the Adria Tour. Will Krajinovic continue to win with his newfound momentum or will Troicki cause an upset as well?
Filip Krajinovic went 1-1 on day 1 of the Adria Tour, and his only victory was a thing of beauty. Krajinovic came back from a set down against Novak Djokovic and was able to pull off a victory 2-4/4-2/4-1. Krajinovic was solid in the second and the third set and was able to capitalize extremely well on the deciding points. Krajinovic will want to continue to use this momentum and get his second victory here on Sunday. Krajinovic has shown us how good he is and that if he is taken too lightly, he can prove you wrong.
Viktor Troicki went 0-2 on the first day of the Adria Tour, losing both to Novak Djokovic and to Alexander Zverev. Troicki just loves to have fun and he is not taking everything to seriously here in Belgrade. Troicki is no longer the player he used to be and he is not a tough competitor in the Singles anymore. If this were doubles, then maybe Troicki should be considered a threat, but in Singles, he is not as good as the other guys. Troicki knows Krajinovic well and he might be able to keep the match close, will he however be able to pull off a shocking upset?
This is going to be the third meeting between both players, with Krajinovic leading the heat to hear 2-0. Krajinovic beat Troicki once in Cortina in a 3 set match, and in 2019 in a straight-sets victory. Their matches have been close in the past, and this might lead to a third set in this match. Krajinovic, however, is in much better form and has been for the last few months. Krajinovic is stronger, faster, and is still on top of his game. Unfortunately, Troicki is not the same player he used to be. Unless Troicki finds some newfound prime in his game, this is a Krajinovic win.
Krajinovic to win.
