Benoit Paire vs. Lucas Pouille - 2020 Ultimate Tennis Showdown
Saturday, June 20 2020
Its a battle of the Frenchman here at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown. Benoit Paire meets Lucas Pouille in what should be a very fun match with lots of screaming, amazing points, and smashed rackets. Both players will want to put on their best performance so far, but who will come out victorious?
Benoit Paire was quite good in his first two matches here at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, going 1-1. Paire lost his first match against Stefanos Tsitsipas 3-1, but bounced back the next day and won 3-1 against Dustin Brown. Paire is one of those players who is amazing when he concentrates, but when he is not focused he is as bad as anyone. Paire can win any point he wants if he actually puts in the effort. Paire will only get better as he gets more matches under his belt and he is surely going to come out here to play as well as he can.
Lucas Pouille did not have a great weekend at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, going 0-2. Pouille lost an extremely tight match against Feliciano Lopez on the first day of the Ultimate Tennis Showdown and on the second day he lost another close match again. Pouille gets so close but he has not been clinical on the important points. Pouille is a great player and when he is on top of his game, he is a threat to anyone. If Pouille wants to remain here in the Ultimate Tennis Showdown he will have to play his best tennis.
This is going to be the fifth match between these two players, with Lucas Pouille leading the head to head 3-1. Pouille was in great form when he beat Paire in the past, however, he is not as good as he used to be and he needs to find that form again. This is going to be a tight match, with many ups and downs for both players. But at the end of the day, I think the experience will prevail here. Expect Benoit Paire to come out and get his first victory of the weekend.
Benoit Paire to win.
