Dustin Brown vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas - 2020 Ultimate Tennis Showdown
Saturday, June 20 2020
Stefanos Tsitsipas looks to keep his record intact as he meets Dustin Brown in the second weekend of the Ultimate Tennis Showdown. Stefanos Tsitsipas has been extremely solid here at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, and he will now face Dustin Brown in what is going to be an extremely fun match.
Stefanos Tsitsipas absolutely destroyed Benoit Paire in his first match, beating the Frenchman 3-1 and looking like he owned the place. Tsitsipas' serve has been on point and his backhand is a thing of beauty. Tsitsipas looks like he is ready to win a Grand Slam in the way he has been playing here at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown. Tsitsipas is the clear favorite for the title here and if he keeps playing the way he has, he is definitely going to be hard to beat. Tsitsipas' second match against Richard Gasquet was closer than his first match, but he was able to maintain his composure in a 5th set sudden death tiebreak and take home the victory.
Dustin Brown has not been great in his first two matches here at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, going 0-2. Brown is one of the best trick shooters in the game but he lacks the fitness and stamina that he used to have 5-10 years ago. Brown can still put on a show, but it is extremely hard for me to see him doing much in this tournament. Brown is not the same as he used to be and he will have to up his level drastically if he wants to compete here.
This is going to be the first match between both players, and it is a pretty simple prediction for me. Stefanos Tsitsipas is the drastically better player and he will have no issue in controlling this match from the start. Tsitsipas has a bigger serve, a better forehand, and a stronger backhand. Brown will win some fun points, but Tsitsipas is going to win the important ones. I think Tsitsipas will win the first 3 quarters and then maybe let Brown have the fourth one as he won't need it for himself.
Stefanos Tsitsipas to win.
