Alexei Popyrin vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas - 2020 Ultimate Tennis Showdown
Sunday, June 28 2020
Its the battle of the youngsters as Stefanos Tsitsipas meets Alexei Popyrin in what is going to be a very fun match on Sunday at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown. Will Tsitsipas show us his experience in big moments, or will Popyrin make a name for himself here?
Stefanos Tsitsipas is the best young player in tennis in my opinion. The Greek star is world No.6, has beaten Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic multiple times each in the last year, and has won the 2019 ATP Nitto Finals. Tsitsipas is a future world No.1, a future Grand Slam champion, and he is the future of the Men's game. Tsitsipas has a beautiful game and he has shown it a lot here at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown. Tsitsipas is the favorite to win the entire tournament in my opinion, but he needs to ensure he does not get too ahead of himself and must focus on what is in front of him right now.
Alexei Popyrin is here to make a statement, and he has done exactly that. The young Australian is very fun to watch as he is very determined to win. Popyrin is one of the future main tennis players as he has incredible potential. Popyrin knows he can use his serve and his sniper forehand to his advantage, and he has done that here at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown. Popyrin will know that Tsitsipas is going to be his toughest challenge yet, but he will be looking forward to showing us his skills against a top-level opponent.
This is going to be the first meeting between both players, and it is going to be a very interesting one. Both these players have been incredible over the last two weekends and they will want to continue their form. However, it is hard for me to back against Stefanos Tsitsipas. Tsitsipas is very good on hard-courts and he will want to make sure his game is perfect in order to progress higher up the table here. Popyrin has much less experience compared to Tsitsipas and he will struggle to control the Greek.
Stefanos Tsitsipas to win.
