Dominic Thiem and Dusan Lajovic meet in their second match at the 2020 Adria Tour opening weekend. Will Lajovic take advantage of a somewhat out of form Thiem, or will Thiem finally get himself back on track after a few tough matches at the Austrian Pro Series?

Dominic Thiem had a great start to 2020, reaching his 3rd Grand Slam Final at the Australian Open, and nearly winning the tournament. Thiem, however, has struggled a bit in the last few weeks as he has been playing at the Austrian Pro-Series tournament. Thiem has won all of his matches except for his last one, however, he has not seemed on top of his game and very sloppy on break point opportunities. Will this hurt him here at the Adria Tour?

Dusan Ljovic also had a great start to the 2020 season, playing incredibly well both in the ATP Cup. Lajovic has a lot of experience and knows how to win tough points. Lajovic will want to show us his talent here at the Adria Tour and he can be a dangerous player if taken too lightly by opponents. 

This will be the seventh meeting between both players and it might be a closer one than expected. Thiem leads the H2H 5-1 but Thiem has not been in his best form, but at the end of the day, he will come out on top here. This might be a 3-setter, but Thiem will win it eventually.
