ATP Cup: Pablo Carreno Busta (Team Spain) vs. Michail Pervolarakis (Team Greece) Tennis Prediction

Pablo Carreno Busta takes Roberto Bautista Agut’s spot as RBA moved up to the No.1 Singles matchup here as he meets Michail Pervolarakis on Friday, February 5th 2021 in the ATP Cup Round Robin tie between Team Greece and Team Spain. Will Pervolarakis be able to cause a shocking upset, or will PBC continue to get the job done for Team Spain?

Michail Pervolarakis is just not good enough to compete with the best players in the world, on a top stage like the ATP Cup. Pervolarakis lost his first match here in straight sets against John Millman on Wednesday, and then was the worst player in the deciding doubles tie between Team Greece and Team Argentina. Greece are very low in talent, except for their superstar Stefanos Tsitsipas, and it is going to be hard to see Pervolarakis being able to get anything out of yet another match against a much tougher opponent, and an opponent who is ranked 436 positions higher than him.

Pablo Carreno Busta replaced RBA on Tuesday, and put on a solid performance, defeating John Millman in straight sets. Pablo is definitely in great form in the tournament, and he will be filled with confidence as he knows he will put Team Spain 1-0 up in the tie against Team Greece as he meets Michail Pervolarakis. Pablo Carreno Busta has been playing some of the best tennis of his career in the last year, and I am sure he is going to continue to impress in 2021.

This is going to be the first meeting between both players, and this is not even going to be a contest. Pervolarakis is just nowhere near the level he needs to be to compete with these guys, and he showed us this with his sluggish footwork and speed around the court against John Millman. On the other hand, Pablo Carreno Busta, is definitely in great form and filled with confidence after demolishing John Millman in straight sets. Pablo Carreno Busta is going to get the win here, and allow for Team Spain to qualify for the semifinals.
