Andrey Rublev (4) meets Marton Fucsovics (Qualifier) in the Final of the 2021 Rotterdam Open on Sunday, March 7th 2021.

Who will win their first title of 2021 as these two extremely powerful players meet on Sunday? Will it be the 19-match winning streak at ATP 500 level Andrey Rublev, or the qualifier Marton Fucsovics?

Marton Fucsovics put on a great display in the semi finals, beating the favourite Borna Coric in straight sets 6-4/6-1, in a match he dominated from the get go. Fucsovics is in great form at the moment, and he will be looking to continue this form in this Final, and both next week in Doha. Marton Fucsovics was a great and promising talent at a young age, but his career never fulfilled all its potential. It is finally great to see him reach extremely high levels of tennis in the ATP Tour, and I am sure this will continue throughout 2021.

Andrey Rublev beat Stefanos Tsitsipas (2) in straight sets on Saturday, 6-4/7-6. Stefanos Tsitsipas was just not able to play his style of tennis when he meets Rublev on hard courts, and he is going to have to formulate a new game plan whenever he next meets the Russian. Andrey Rublev will look to extend his ATP 500 winning streak to 20 matches in a row and win his 4th consecutive ATP 500 title on Sunday. Can Rublev accomplish this, or will he leave the door open for Marton Fucsovics to cause an upset?

This is going to be the 4th meeting between both players, with Marton Fucsovics having won 2 out of their 3 prior encounters. Although the head to head is in Fucsovics' favour, these are over 3 years ago. Their last meeting was won by Rublev last year at the French Open. We are definitely in for a tight match here on Sunday but only one of these players can win. I expect a three setter most likely based on their great form on the court this week, but Andrey Rublev should come out victorious here and win his first title of the season and 8th career title.
