Will Pablo Cuevas take out the world no.1 and top seed here in Paris right from the start in the second round or will Novak Djokovic be able to cruise through another match and get himself into better form to challenge for the title here in Paris.

Pablo Cuevas dominated in his first round match, coming through in 3 sets 6-3/6-1/6-3 against the veteran Lucas Pouille. Lucas Pouille is no longer the player he used to be, and he did not stand a chance against a Pablo Cuevas who loves to play in these hot clay court conditions. Pablo Cuevas will want to come out here and continue to perform strongly, but he will have to raise his level a lot more if he is to cause the biggest upset here in Paris against the world no.1.

Novak Djokovic also demolished his opponent in the first round, beating Tennys Sandgren in 3 sets 6-2/6-4/6-2. Novak was ready to give it his best right from the start, and he did not let anything go easily when he was not at his best. Tennys could not keep up with the pace and accuracy of shot from Novak, and Novak used all of his experience and knowledge to keep Sandgren on his toes and never let him get comfortable. Novak will want to repeat this performance in the second round now.

This is going to be the 1^st meeting between both players, and unfortunately for Pablo Cuevas, he will not cause the huge upset. However, Pablo can use the fact that they have never met before to his advantage as Novak will not know straight away how to play his best tennis against Pablo. This will allow Pablo to steal 1 set along the way, and force Novak to raise his level to get this second round match under his belt in 4 sets.
