A fantastic match is expected here in the Round of 16 at the 2021 Halle Open in Germany. Roger Federer is a legend of the game and the young Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime is a fast rising star. Felix Auger-Aliassime is currently ranked #20 in the ATP world rankings, and has long been considered one of the most promising young players on the ATP Tour. Still only 20 years of age, he has a lot of experience despite his tender age and has already reached 8 Tour-level Finals. After a disappointing clay court season he had a strong showing in Stuttgart, reaching the Final before losing to Marin Cilic. While he is the underdog here, he has a lot more grass court tennis under his belt than his opponent Roger Federer, and is at full fitness here.

Despite Felix Auger-Aliassime’s outstanding recent grass court play, it is hard to look past Roger Federer here. He is not yet fully fit, but playing the Swiss superstar on this surface is no easy task, and I expect him to use every ounce of his experience to get past the youngster here. It won’t be easy and he likely will struggle against FAA’s power, but I expect Roger Federer to come through here, advancing to the Quarter-Finals here in Halle.
