Top seeded Serbian Novak Djokovic will face unseeded Marton Fucsovics of Hungary in the Quarter-Finals here at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. The match is scheduled to be played on Wednesday July 7th, 2021 at 8:30am EST

Novak Djokovic is seeking to equal the all-time Grand Slam record which is currently shared by Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. He entered the 2021 Wimbledon Championships as the massive favorite to win the title, and he has backed that favorite tag with some typically dominant performances. Next up in his path is the unseeded Hungarian Marton Fucsovics, who has been on a giant killing streak himself. Can he do the impossible and claim the biggest win of his career?

Novak Djokovic is one of the best tennis players in history and is currently ranked #1 on the ATP Tour. After surprisingly dropping the first set in his opening round match against Jack Draper, he has hardly put a foot wrong, cruising through the competition here at Wimbledon. Djokovic destroyed Cristian Garin 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 in the Round of 16, and seems to be on cruise control here at the All-England Club, and it will take a titanic effort to stop him here. He enters this match as the massive favorite against Marton Fucsovics, and it is unlikely that he will be tested much here.

Marton Fucsovics is unseeded here at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships, and is ranked #48 on the ATP Tour. Like his opponent Novak Djokovic, he has been in fantastic form so far here, and has notably defeated seeded players such as Jannik Simmer, Diego Schwartzman and Andrey Rublev to get to this stage. This will be his first Wimbledon Quarter-Final, and his game is seemingly perfectly suited for grass. The powerfully built Hungarian has a big serve and a strong baseline game, but also has good hands and is comfortable in transition. Despite him being the massive underdog here, he has taken a set off Djokovic in each of their meetings so far and will be backing himself to cause yet another upset here.

This will be the third time that the two players have faced each other on the ATP Tour, and Novak Djokovic leads the head to head series 2-0. The Serbian is the world number one for a reason, and he is fully locked in towards his goal of winning this tournament and equaling the record. Once he gets into the later rounds of tournaments, especially the big ones, he is almost impossible to defeat, and I see that being the result here. He is simply too good for his opponent Marton Fucovics, and despite the Hungarian’s best efforts, Novak will win here and advance to yet another Wimbledon Semi-Final.
