Which of these two incredible players will have their Wimbledon dreams come true as they come out to battle for the title? Will it be the more experienced Karolina Pliskova, or the higher ranked and already grand slam winning Ashleigh Barty?

Karolina Pliskova showed great determination in the semi finals, beating the always tough and improving Aryna Sabalenka by having to come back from a set down to win in 3 sets 5-7/6-4/6-4. Karolina Pliskova will be very happy with that performance as it finally gives her her second grand slam final after she lost the only one she had ever been in in 2016. Karolina Pliskova will come out here knowing that she needs to just relax, not get too far ahead of herself, and allow herself to play her game rather than trying to shake things up as she has done in the past.

Ashleigh Barty cruised through her semi final match against the former Wimbledon winner, Angelique Kerber, winning the match in 2 sets 6-3/7-6. Angelique Kerber definitely put up a fight in the later stages of the match, but Ashleigh was just in cruise control by then and she was able to get this win before a third set. Ashleigh is now in her second grand slam final looking to win her second title, but she will know she is meeting a very tough player, especially on grass, in Karolina Pliskova.

This is going to be the 8^th meeting between both players, with Ashleigh Barty having won 5 of the 7 encounters. Ashleigh Barty obviously holds the edge with the head to head. However, going off of the form in the semi finals, I think what Karolina showed against such a strong opponent in Aryna Sabalenka shows much more than an easy win for Ashleigh against Kerber. Ashleigh will definitely keep this match tight, but I expect for Karolina to finally reach her potential and get her maiden grand slam title under her belt and get herself back into the top 10.
