Andy Murray vs. Liam Broady – 6/23/20 Battle of the Brits Tennis Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Andy Murray looks to get his game back to its best as he meets Liam Broady in their first match at the Battle of the Brits. Will the break have allowed Andy Murray’s body to fully recover, or will Liam Broady be able to cause a shocking upset here at the Battle of the Brits?

Andy Murray is one of the best players of all time, however, just as he reached his peak and achieved amazing things in his tennis career, he suffered terrible injury issues. Murray came back towards the second half of last year and it took him a while to get back in form. Murray was superb however after a month or so, even winning the Stockholm Open against Stan Wawrinka. Andy Murray is still a top player and he will want to get his form back here to make sure he can challenge for the biggest titles in the tennis world as soon as the tour gets back underway.

Liam Broady is one of the less known British players. Liam Broady has only ever played 13 matches on the ATP Tour, winning 4 of them and losing 9. Broady is a very talented player, however, he is more of a challenger level player. Broady can be dangerous here as he is not going to feel any pressure and he can play freely. Broady knows Murray and he knows that he can pose a threat to him when Murray is not at 100%.

This will be the second meeting between both players, with Andy Murray having won the first encounter in the first round of Wimbledon in 2016. Murray beat Liam Broady in straight sets and it was never a close encounter. Of course, Murray was the best player in the world in 2016 and he is definitely not at that level anymore. Liam Broady can take advantage of Murray’s time off here and the fact that he might be a bit rusty. Broady might take a set, but at the end of the day, this is Andy Murray he is facing. Give me Murray to win.

Andy Murray to win.
