ATP Cup: Roberto Bautista Agut (Team Spain) vs. Michail Pervolarakis (Team Greece) Tennis Prediction

Roberto Bautista Agut meets the No.2 Greek player in the world, Michail Pervolarakis, in their group stage bout in Group B of the ATP Cup as Spain and Greece collide. Will we see an incredibly shocking upset here by Pervolarakis, or will the consistency of RBA be too much for the Greek to handle?

Greece is not really spoiled with talent, outside of their superstar Stefanos Tsitsipas, and shockingly their second best player here is ranked 463 in the world. Michail Pervolarakis has really not got much in his favour coming into this tournament as he is facing some of the best players in the world, and I am not going to be shocked if he goes 0-3 in his matches here. Pervolarakis is more of a challenger level player, and someone who might have some success in doubles, however, when it comes to playing the big guys and the best in the world on the ATP tour, there is no chance for the Greek.

Roberto Bautista Agut is always extremely solid on every surface, against every opponent, and in any conditions. RBA always knows exactly what he has to do to get the upper hand in a point, and his ability to move his opponents around with ease, and play 30+ shot rallies, helps him wear down opponents who want to finish points early. RBA was incredible for Team Spain last year here at the ATP Cup, and I am 100% sure he will do the same this year. RBA knows the game inside out, and he will definitely be as important as Rafael Nadal is to Spain this year.

This is going to be the first meeting between the two players and this is not even going to be a contest in my opinion. Michail Pervolarakis is only here due to the system of requiring the 2 highest ranking Greek players and due to Stefanos Tsitsipas’ incredible game. RBA on the other hand, is an incredible player who can beat anyone and everyone on the ATP Tour on his day. This match will end in straight sets in my opinion, and boost Spain’s chances of beating Greece in the group stages.
