Thiem has won all of his matches, except his last one against Sebastian Ofner, where Thiem did not look in good shape and his serving was off. Thiem will want to improve on this if he wants to have any chance to make it to the final on Sunday.
Damir Dzumhur had a great start to 2020 according to his standards. Dzumhur showed up at the Australian Open and put in some solid performances, although he did not get far. Dzumhur is a bulldog, he never gives up and runs after every ball. If taken too lightly, Dzumhur will take advantage of a point. Will he be able to use this to his advantage against the world No.3?
This will be the second meeting between both players, with Thiem having won their only prior encounter in 2016 in straight sets. Dzumhur did take Thiem to a tiebreak in the first set, but he did not get far in the second. If Thiem is able to improve his performance from last week at the Austrian Pro Series, he wins this in straight sets. If not, he still wins it in 3.
