The Bulgarian has had an outstanding week, reaching his first ATP Final since 2017 and will be considered the favorite here against the Chilean Nicolas Jarry. He overcame a stern test to defeat the second seeded Taylor Fritz, using every ounce of his experience to recover from a set down, taking the match 3-6, 7-5, 7-6. It remains to be seen how much he has left in the tank for the Final, but we can be sure that he will be highly motivated to capture his first title in over five years.
Nicolas Jarry is ranked 54th in the world and is unseeded here at the 2023 Geneva Open. The Chilean has had an astonishing run to the title, stunning the field in the process. A shocking upset over two time defending champion and top seed Casper Ruud will have given him bags of confidence, and he will need it against the veteran Grigor Dimitrov. Jarry has one of the best serves on tour and will need that to be clicking if he is to win his third ATP title.
This should be an extremely tough match, and it can go either way. I am expecting it to go the distance, so betting each player to win a set and the overs should pay off well. In terms of an outright winner, it is perhaps too close to call but we are going with Nicolas Jarry here. His upside was on full display during his win over Ruud, and I think that he will have just a little bit more energy than Grigor Dimitrov. It'll be a battle, but give me Jarry in an extremely close affair, taking the 2023 Geneva Open title.
