Nick Kyrgios vs Filip Krajinovic 6/30/22 Wimbledon Tennis Picks, Predictions, Odds

Nick Kyrgios will meet Filip Krajinovic in the Second Round of the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. The match is scheduled to be played on Thursday June 30th, 2022.

Nick Kyrgios is unseeded here at the Wimbledon Championships and is ranked #40. While his ranking is definitely disappointing for a player of his caliber, he has done very well this year to get to that position. Kyrgios is well-known for his grass court play, and the fact that he is unseeded makes him a very dangerous floater in this year’s draw. After mixed results at the warm up events he started surprisingly slowly against Paul Jubb, being in real danger of losing before eventually winning in five sets. Kyrgios is definitely one of the best players in the world when he’s fully focused, but his mental issues and temperament make him a very risky person to bet on.

Filip Krajinovic is the 26th seed here at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships and is ranked #31 on the ATP Tour. The Serbian is not well known for his grass prowess but shocked the tennis world by reaching the Final at Queen’s before losing to Matteo Berrettini. Big things were expected of him heading into Wimbledon in that sort of form but he was surprisingly pushed to five sets by Jiri Lehecka. Krajinovic will have to serve a lot better if he is to trouble Nick Kyrgios, as the Aussie possesses one of the best serves on Tour and should hold comfortably. Krajinovic is the underdog here for sure, but his form and experience give him hope here, especially with Kyrios being very hit and miss.

One thing is for sure, this match is going to be a very entertaining one. Nick Kyrgios is one of the most talented and fun players to watch on the tour, and whether he plays well or not, the fans are in for a show. That being said, we have to give the edge to him here. He loves this tournament and this surface, and to be fair to him he has been a lot more focused lately. Krajinovic is a very tough opponent and will make it interesting, but the Kyrgios firepower is too much to ignore here. Kyrgios to win and book a spot in the Third Round here at the Wimbledon Championships.
