Wimbledon: Karolina Muchova vs. Angelique Kerber 7/6/21 Tennis Prediction

Karolina Muchova (19) meets Angelique Kerber (25) in the quarter finals of the Wimbledon on Tuesday, July 6th, 2021.

Will Karolina Muchova get a big win under her belt by beating one of the former Wimbledon grand slam champions, or will Angelique Kerber show us that she is still one of the best players out there, especially on grass where she triumphed here before?

Angelique Kerber cruised through her fourth round match, beating the highly talented and in form Coco Gauff in 2 sets 6-4/6-4. Coco Gauff just could not get anything going in that match as Angelique Kerber dictated play from start to finish in the match. Angelique was showing everyone that although she has not performed well in the last 2 years, she still has it when she is confident and healthy. Angelique will be looking at the draw now, and she will know that there are two big threats to her chances of getting the title under her belt here, Ashleigh Barty and Aryna Sabalenka.

Karolina Muchova beat the Spanish up and comer, Paula Badosa, in the fourth round, winning the match in 2 very tight sets 7-6/6-4. Although the match was a 2 setter, it was tight as the first set really took a lot out of both players, but more from Paula than from Karolina. Karolina used the momentum gained from winning that first set to ensure she got off to a strong start in the second and put more and more pressure on Paula who is not as experienced and was not able to deal with it as well as she should have.

This is going to be the 3rd meeting between both players, with Angelique Kerber having won both encounters against Karolina Muchova. Karolina Muchova will know that in the last 2 years she has been the better player when comparing herself to Angelique Kerber. However, on grass this year, Angelique has been in great form and she will use all of the momentum gained over these last 3 weeks, as well as her experience of winning this tournament before to get the big win under her belt and knock out Muchova.
