Fourth seeded Andrey Rublev of Russia will face unseeded German Philipp Kohlschreiber in the Quarter-Finals of the 2021 Halle Open. The match is scheduled to be played on Friday June 18th, 2021.

Andrey Rublev is currently ranked #7 on the ATP Tour and is the fourth seed here at the Halle Open. The Russian has been on a roll over the past few seasons, winning numerous titles and establishing himself as one of the very best players in the world. While he doesn’t have much grass court experience, his big game should translate to this surface, and that has proven to be true so far with two straight-sets wins over Karen Khachanov and Jordan Thompson here in Halle. While his next opponent Philipp Kohlscreiber is a very experienced player, he has not had much success over the past few years and the Russian is the heavy favorite to win this match and advance to the Semi-Finals here at the 2021 Halle Open.

Philipp Kohlschreiber is a former top 20 player, but after struggling for the past few seasons, finds himself ranked outside the top 100. The German veteran is still a very dangerous player however, with bags of experience and is capable of some good tennis on occasion. He has been impressive so far at the 2021 Halle Open, defeating both Jurij Rodionov and Corentin Moutet to reach his first Quarter-Finals in quite some time. While he has played well so far, his next opponent Andrey Rublev is one of the best players in the world and is on another level to the players that he has faced, so he is in for a rough day at the office here.

This is an extremely straightforward match to predict, and will result in Andrey Rublev winning in straight sets. Very simply put, he is a much better player than Kohlschreiber at this stage of their careers, and should have no problem dispatching the American, advancing to his first career grass-court Semi-Final here at the 2021 Halle Open.
