Halle Open: Felix Auger-Aliassime vs. Marcos Giron 6/18/21 Tennis Prediction

Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada will face American Qualifier Marcos Giron in the Quarter-Finals of the 2021 Halle Open. The match is scheduled to be played on Friday June 18th, 2021 at a time yet to be determined.

Felix Auger-Aliassime is a young Canadian superstar who has been in fantastic form at the moment on the grass courts. Will he continue this strong run here in Halle? Or can the surprising Quarter-Finalist Marcos Giron cause the massive upset and advance to his first ATP Semi-Final of the year?

Felix-Auger-Aliassime is currently ranked #20 in the world rankings and has been considered one of the most promising young players in the world since he burst onto the scene years old. Already having reached eight ATP Finals at the tender age of 20, he is massively experienced despite his young age and will be very tough to defeat here. He is coming off of a Finals appearance in Stuttgart where he lost to Marin Cilic and will be hoping to make amends for that loss here. After defeating Roger Federer in the Round of 16, his confidence will be sky-high and he should be considered the massive favorite here over Marcos Giron due to his recent form plus his major grass-court weapons in his serve and groundstrokes.

Marcos Giron is unseeded here at the 2021 Halle Open, and is currently ranked #75 on the ATP Tour. After coming through the Qualifying Rounds, he took full advantage of his opportunity and has caused two back to back upsets, over Vasek Pospisil and Jan-Lennard Struff to reach the Quarters. While he will be delighted at reaching this stage, he is the massive underdog here against Felix Auger-Aliassime and will have to play the match of his life to make this competitive.

This will be the first time that the two players have faced each other on tour, and is not a Quarter-Final that many would have expected. Marcos Giron has done extremely well to get to this stage, but unfortunately his Halle 2021 campaign will not last much longer.
