San Antonio Spurs vs Los Angeles Lakers Prediction 12-13-23 NBA Picks

The Los Angeles Lakers invade the AT&T Center to do battle with the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night. Here’s a Lakers vs Spurs Prediction.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have been in fine form as they’ve won four of their last five games, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after coming up painfully short to the Mavericks in a 127-125 road loss last night. Anthony Davis led the team with 37 points and 11 rebounds on 15 of 21 shooting, LeBron James added 33 points with eight rebounds and nine assists while Austin Reaves chipped in with 22 points and eight assists off the bench. As a team, the Lakers shot 53 percent from the field and 15 of 29 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sluggish start and had to claw their way back from a 15-point deficit, only to allow the Mavericks to go on a 12-5 run midway through the fourth quarter.

San Antonio Spurs

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in horrible form as they are now looking to put an end to an ugly 17-game losing streak after coming up short against the Rockets in a 93-82 road loss on Monday. Victor Wembanyama led the team with 15 points, 18 rebounds and five blocks, Devin Vassell added 14 points while Keldon Johnson chipped in with 12 points, seven rebounds and four steals. As a team, the Spurs shot just 35 percent from the field and a miserly five of 41 from the 3-point line as they did a decent job of hanging in the fight in the first half, only to go completely ice-cold and score just 35 points in the second half to suffer yet another demoralizing loss.

Lakers vs Spurs Prediction

The Lakers are starting to heat up again as they were riding a four-game win streak before losing a close one to the Mavericks last night and they just seem so much more dangerous when Davis leads the team in scoring. The Spurs have been in a world of hurt as they’ve lost 17 straight and they could only manage 82 points in an ugly loss to the Rockets in their last outing. The Lakers could be resting a few players given that this is their second game of a back to back set, but I’m still taking the Lakers over these slumping Spurs.
