Southampton are in need of a victory since their recent lost to Liverpool at home, if they do not get a result here they will see their hopes of European football pretty much vanish due to the competition they face. However, this gave facing the Baggies is probably one of the worst games that they could’ve been facing.
Tonly Pulis’ has revolutionised WBA and as expected he was led them out of the relegation zone. Pulis’ main attribute is to get results in these sorts of games where he is at home and the rival team is at a somewhat conceivable level of level and strategic performance. For this reason, WBA will hope to get a result at home versus one of the better squads in the Premier League.
Nevertheless, we must remember that the whole reason the Premier League is one of the most watched football leagues in the world is the fact that any team can create an upset and while statistically speaking Southampton should have this match in their pockets, WBA’s current form and Saido Berahino would probably deem otherwise. Not to mention that Ideye, WBA’s most expensive signing this year Is starting to click with the rest of the team and they are starting to score at ease.
I would recommend Both Teams to Score for this match as they will both want to take the 3 points home and only one can do it.
