The Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream meet Sunday in WNBA action at the IMG Academy.
The Chicago Sky look for a win after splitting their last eight games. The Chicago Sky are averaging 85.5 points on 48.7 percent shooting and allowing 83.8 points on 45.5 percent shooting. Allie Quigley is averaging 14.6 points and 2.3 assists while Kahleah Copper is averaging 14.3 points and 4.6 rebounds. Cheyenne Parker is the third double-digit scorer and Courtney Vandersloot is dishing 8.3 assists. The Chicago Sky are shooting 35.2 percent from beyond the arc and 80.5 percent from the free throw line. The Chicago Sky are allowing 39 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 33.9 rebounds per game.
The Atlanta Dream need a win to snap a seven-game losing streak. The Atlanta Dream are averaging 80.2 points on 43.5 percent shooting and allowing 91.4 points on 46.5 percent shooting. Chennedy Carter is averaging 17 points and 3.9 assists while Betnijah Laney is averaging 15.9 points and 3.6 rebounds. Elizabeth Williams is the third double-digit scorer and Courtney Williams is grabbing 7.1 rebounds. The Atlanta Dream are shooting 35.4 percent from beyond the arc and 79.5 percent from the free throw line. The Atlanta Dream are allowing 40.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 32.7 rebounds per game.
Will update with trends once they're released.
The Atlanta Dream are a tough sell right now, as they're not only riding a seven-game losing streak, but each of their last four losses have come by double digits. The Dream have issues scoring the basketball, and their defense is ranked 12th in points allowed per game, 12th in three point percentage allowed and 11th in field goal percentage allowed. The Dream are getting crushed on the defensive side and have allowed a combined 196 points in their last two games alone. The Chicago Sky are a team I said from the beginning that could make a run toward a WNBA title, and while they've been inconsistent lately, they have a polished offense that has the second best field goal percentage in the league. The Sky will go on a run soon.
Give me the Sky, as the Dream have zero betting value right now.
