Indiana Fever vs. Atlanta Dream 5/21/21 WNBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Indiana Fever and Atlanta Dream face off on Friday in a WNBA showdown at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. 

The Indiana Fever have had a terrible start to the season and coming into this game they sit with an 0-3 record overall.The defense has been a big issue for the Fever including the last game against the Connecticut Sun where he gave up 88 points. The Fever’s offense has also scored under 68 points in two of the three games. Kelsey Mitchell on the season is averaging 16 points while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free throw line. Three different players for the Fever are averaging at least 10 points and if they want to win this game they need the offense to be better. If the offense struggles in this game, they aren’t going to have a chance to come away with the victory. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Atlanta Dream who have lost each of their last two games. In the first game of the year the Dream lost 78-67 and in the last game against the Chicago Sky, the Dream were defeated 85-77. The Dream only scored 26 points in the first half and that led to the defeat. On the season the Dream are averaging 72 points while their defense is giving up 81.5 points per game. Courtney Williams has been the best player for the Dream averaging 19 points while shooting 45.5 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from behind the three point line. 

Both offenses haven’t been great this season and I expect that is going to be the case again in this game. Look for both teams to keep the pace low and this game is going to go under the total. Back the under.
