The Seattle Storm and Dallas Wings face off on Friday in an WNBA showdown at the Angel of Winds Arena. These two teams will also play on Sunday so they will get plenty of each other the next few days.

The Dallas WIngs have been a big disappointment to start the season and they currently sit with a 2-4 record overall. Even with all the struggles the Dallas WIngs have to be feeling good about themselves coming into this one after winning their last game. In the last game against the Los ANgeles Sparks the defense was strong giving up only 69 points and that was enough to win by 10 points. The Dallas Wings on the season are averaging 88.5 points per game while their defense is giving up 76.3 points per game. The Wings are shooting 43.4 percent from the field and 37.2 percent from behind the three point line. Allisha Gray has been the best player for the Dallas WIngs averaging 23 points while shooting 43.4 percent from behind the three point line.

On the other side of this matchup is the Seattle Storm who have the top record in the entire WNBA with a 6-1 record. This is a Storm team that can run up the score but as of late the most impressive part  has been the defense playing better. In the last game against the Indiana Fever the defense gave up only 73 points which is good for them. On the season, Seattle is averaging 89.6 points per game while their defense is giving up 83.7 points per game. Brenna Stewart has been the best player for the Seattle Storm averaging 23.3 points while shooting 45.2 percent from the field. Of course the offense is going to need to be good, but most importantly it’s going to need to be the defense that finds a way to step up and make life tough on the Wings.

The Storm are going to score, but the Dallas Wings offense is going to score plenty too and that is going to lead to this game being a shootout. Look for a high-scoring affair that goes over the total. In terms of the side it’s a lean to the WIngs covering the spread.
