The Chicago Sky and Washington Mystics face off on Saturday in a WNBA basketball showdown at Wintrust Arena.

The Chicago Sky come into this game with a 10-9 record overall which puts them in second place in the Eastern Conference. The Sky have been inconsistent this season and coming into this game they have lost two of the last three games. In the last game against the Dallas Wings, the defense really struggled giving up 100 points, and that led to the nine-point defeat. On the season, the Chicago Sky are averaging 82 points per game while their defense is giving up 78.8 points per game. Kahleah Copper has been the best player for Chicago averaging 13.9 points while shooting 43.2 percent from the field, and 30.6 percent from behind the three-point line.

On the other side of this matchup is the Washington Mystics who sit with a 7-10 record overall which puts them in 4th place in the Eastern Conference. The Mystics are really struggling coming into this game having lost four games n a row. In the last game against the New York Liberty, the Mystics were competitive but lost by three points. Washington on the season is averaging 81.5 points per game while their defense is giving up 83.8 points per game. Tina Charles has been the star for Washington this season averaging 25.8 points while shooting 46.7 percent from the field and 35 percent from behind the three-point line.

I don’t really trust either of these teams, but I expect it’s going to be the defense for both teams that are going to be strong. Look for this game to be lower scoring, and the under is going to cash with ease. In terms of the side, it’s a lean to Chicago to cover the spread, but the better play is with the total.
