The Seattle Storm and Chicago Sky face off on Friday in a WNBA basketball showdown at the Angels of Winds Arena. These two teams last faced off on August 15th and it was the Sky that were able to get the job done in overtime by two points .

The Chicago Sky currently sit with a 12-12 record overall which puts them in second place in the Eastern Conference. The biggest issue for the Sky has been their inconsistency and even in the last game, the Atlanta Dream they probably wish they would have won by more points. On the season the Chicago Sky are averaging 82.8 points per game while their defense is giving up 80.8 points per game. Allie Quigley has been the best player for the Storm averaging 14.6 points while shooting 47.2 percent from the field and 48.3 percent from behind the three-point line. In this game if the Sky want to win this game, they are going to need the defense to step up.

On the other side of this matchup is the Seattle Storm who sit with an 18-8 record overall which puts them in second place in the Western Conference. The Storm has been playing well, he is coming off a loss in his last game. The offense could only manage 70 points in the last game and that led to the 76-70 victory. The last win for the Storm came two games ago, and the offense scored 85 points and that led to the victory. Seattle is averaging 85.9 points per game while their defense is giving up 80 points per game. Breanna Stewart has been the best player for Seattle averaging 20.4 points while shooting 43.3 percent from the field and 34.3 percent from behind the three-point line.

I don’t expect a whole lot of defense to be played by either team in this game. Look for both teams to run up the score and this game is going to go well over the total. In terms of the side it’s a lean with the Sky to cover the spread.
