Seattle Storm vs. Chicago Sky 8/29/21 WNBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Seattle Storm and Chicago Sky face off on Sunday in a WNBA basketball showdown at the Angels of the Wind Arena. These two teams faced off on Friday and it was the Chicago Sky that was able to come away with the 73-69 victory. 

The Sky outscored the Storm 22-14 in the 4th quarter which was the difference. Kahleah Copper led Chicago putting up 26 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Breanna Stewart was the best player for Seattle averaging 18 points. 

The Chicago Sky currently sit with a 13-12 record overall which puts them in second place in the Eastern Conference. The Sky have won two games in a row, but they are completely different games. Coming into this game, they are averaging 82.4 points per game while their defense is giving up 80 points per game. The Sky Are shooting 43.3 percent from the field and 34.1 percent from deep. Cooper has been the best player for the Sky averaging 14.7 points while shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from behind the three-point line. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Seattle Storm who sit with an 18-9 record overall which puts them in second place in the Western Conference. The Storm have found a lot of success this season, but they have been a little bit more inconsistent as of late. The Storm want to push the pace, but over the last two games, they have scored 70 points or less. Seattle is averaging 85.3 points per game while their defense is giving up 79.7 points per game. Breanna Stewart is averaging 20.3 points while shooting 42.9 percent from the field. Stewart only scored 18 points in the last game and they need more production out of her. 

The Sky’s defense was strong on Friday, and that will be the case again in this game. I don’t trust Chicago to come away with the victory again, but they will play enough defense for the under to cash.
