The Indiana Fever and Minnesota Lynx face off on Friday in a WNBA basketball showdown at the Indiana-Farmers Coliseum.. The Lynx already has two wins over the Fever this month. In the last game, the Lynx’s offense scored 90 points which led to the 10 point victory.

The Indiana Fever come into this game with a 6-24 record overall which is the worst record in the WNBA, and they have lost five games in a row. The Fever are probably ready for this season to be over, and hope to just start fresh next season. The biggest issue all season has been with the defense and each of the last five games they have given up at least 86 points. The Fever on the season are averaging 75 points per game while their defense is giving up 84.5 points per game. Kelsey Mitchell is the best player for the Fever averaging 17 points per game while shooting 41.9 percent form the field.

On the other side of this matchup is the Minnesota Lynx who sit with a 20-10 record overall which puts them in second place in the Western Conference. Early in the season there was some concern about how the Lynx would even make the playoffs, but now it’s clear they are going to be a tough out. The Lynx have had a strong offense and each of the last four games they have scored at least 89 points. The Lynx are averaging 82,4 points per game while their defense is giving up 79 points per game. Napheesa Collier and Sylvia Fowles are quite the 1-2 punch, both averaging over 16 points per game.

The Lynx are the better team no doubt, and their offense has been elite as of late. Indiana’s defense is awful, and they aren’t going to magically get better in this game. Look for Minnesota to run up the score, the Fever will have no answer, and the Lynx will cover the spread.
