The Minnesota Lynx and Washington Mystics meet Sunday in WNBA action at the Entertainment & Sports Arena. The Minnesota Lynx look for a win after winning eight of their last nine games. The Washington Mystics need a win after losing five of their last eight games.

Sylvia Fowles is averaging 16.3 points and 10 rebounds while Napheesa Collier is averaging 16.3 points and 3.1 assists. Kayla McBride is the third double-digit scorer and Aerial Powers is grabbing 3.8 rebounds. The Minnesota Lynx are shooting 34.1 percent from beyond the arc and 83.6 percent from the free throw line. The Minnesota Lynx are allowing 34.7 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 34.8 rebounds per game.

The Washington Mystics are averaging 79.9 points on 40.9 percent shooting and allowing 83.6 points on 46.3 percent shooting. Tina Charles is averaging 23.7 points and 9.4 rebounds while Ariel Atkins is averaging 16.2 points and 2.6 assists. Elena Delle Donne is the third double-digit scorer and Myisha Hines-Allen is grabbing 7.2 rebounds. The Washington Mystics are shooting 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 80.6 percent from the free throw line. The Washington Mystics allowing 37.8 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 33.4 rebounds per game.

The Minnesota Lynx are the better team here and just beat the Mystics a couple of weeks ago by 18 points. However, this game means a lot more to the Mystics, who are still fighting for a playoff spot and need to keep off the Sparks and Liberty. Because of desperation, I’ll take a shot with the Mystics at home.
