The Las Vegas Aces and Phoenix Mercury face off on Tuesday in Game 1 of their WNBA playoff series at Michelob Ultra Arena. These two teams faced off three times this season and the Aces won two of the games. In the last game on September 19th, the Aces won 84-83.

This will be the first game of the playoffs for the Las Vegas Aces but they did win their last four games of the regular season. They scored at least 84 points in each of those games, and in two of them, they scored at least 102 points. On the season, the Aces are averaging 89.3 points per game while their defense is giving up 80.2 points per game. A’ja Wilson has been the top player for the Aces averaging 18.3 points per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 87.6 percent from the free-throw line. Seven different players are averaging at least 10 points per game.

On the other side of this matchup is the Phoenix Mercury who have had to play two playoff games already and they have won each of the games. In the first game, the Mercury beat the New York Liberty 83-82, and in the last game against the Seattle Storm, the Mercury won 85-80 in overtime. Phoenix is averaging 82.1 points per game while their defense is giving up 79.5 points per game. Brittney Griner has been the top player for Phoenix this season averaging 20.5 points while shooting 57.5 percent from the field. Three different players are averaging at least 15 points per game.

The Aces love to play at a fast paced, and there will be no shortage of scoring in this game by either team. The Aces have scored 100 points in two of their last four games, and this game will be a shootout. Back the over.
