Las Vegas Aces vs. Phoenix Mercury 10/8/21 WNBA Pick, Odds, and Predictions


The Las Vegas Aces and Phoenix Mercury face off on Friday night in a winner take all game at Michelob Ultra Arena. The winner of this game will face off with the Chicago Sky in the WNBA Finals. 

This series is tied 2-2 and with their backs against the wall in the last game, Las Vegas was able to win 93-76. Chelsea Gray was the top player for Las Vegas putting up 22 points, six assists, and four rebounds. Kelsey Plum has had a big game putting up 20 points and six assists. The Mercury had four players who scored at least 13 points but no one scored more than 14 points. 

The Aces finished the regular season with a 24-8 record which puts them in 1st place in the Western Conference Standings. Las Vegas is averaging 89.3 points per game while their defense is giving up 80.2 points. A’ja Wilson has been the best player averaging 18.3 points while shooting 44.4 percent from the field. Seven different players are averaging at least 10 points per game. This is a team that usually has no issue scoring,, the question is can the defense make enough stops. 

Phoenix finished with a 19-13 record which put them in 4th place in the Western Conference standings. Phoenix is currently averaging 82.1 points while the defense is giving up 79.5 points per game. The best player all season has been Brittney Griner and the Mercury needs her to have a big game in this one. Skylar Diggins-Smith is also having a big year. Averaging 17.7 points while shooting 45.2 percent from the field. 

Las Vegas has all the momentum heading into this game, and they are going to have no issue getting the job done. Look for Las Vegas to run up the score, Phoenix is going to have no answer, and this game will get out of hand early. Back Las Vegas to win the game and cover the spread.
