The Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever face off on Friday in a WNBA showdown at Hinkie Fieldhouse. When these two teams faced off on July 21st, it was the Las Vegas Aces that secured the 90-77 victory.

The Las Vegas Aces come into this game with a 20-8 record overall, and they have won three games in a row overall. In the last game against the Chicago Sky, the Aces were able to win and secure the WNBA’s commissioner’s cup. The Aces are averaging 90.4 points, while their defense is giving up 84.7 points per game. Las Vegas is ranked 1st in the league, while their pitching staff is ranked 9th in the league. Kelsey Plum has been the top player for Las Vegas, averaging 20.1 points while shooting 44.7 percent for the field.

On the other side of this matchup is the Indiana Fever, who sit with a 5-25 record overall, and they are coming off another disappointing loss in their last game. The defense gave up 96 points against the Dallas Wings, and that led to the 10-point defeat. The Fever are averaging 78 points, while their defense is giving up 88.5 points per game. The offense is ranked 11th in the league, while their pitching staff is ranked 12th. Kelsey Mitchell has been the top player for the Fever, averaging 18.6 points while shooting 43.6 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from behind the three-point line.

The Aces are an elite offensive team and although their defense at times struggles, that won’t happen against the Fever. Indiana is averaging 78 points per game, and that isn’t going to be enough offense to get the job done against Las Vegas. The Aces are going to run up the score and Las Vegas will cover the spread.
